Yeah, I said it.
Having society’s “ideal” body won’t make you instantly happier.
You might not believe me until you see it yourself but you won’t be happier when you lose those 10-20 pounds, because it’s not the weight that matters.
It’s totally fine if you want to make a change in your body – but if you can’t accept your body where it is today, it’s going to be difficult to flip the mental switch once you reach that “goal weight”. It won’t feel good if you don’t change the way see yourself too.
Just focusing on shrinking your body isn’t going to get you to that mindset. Crash diets, keto drinks and detox teas aren’t going to get you there. It’s especially not worth it if you have to starve and overwork yourself to get there. That’s not sustainable.
As corny as it sounds, you have to start from within and start to realize that your worth is inherent.
⚡️Your worth is not your pant size.
⚡️Your worth is not your weight on the scale.
⚡️Your worth is not the number of calories you consume.
⚡️Your worth does not depend on whatever body type society has decided is desirable this year (spoiler alert: the “ideal body” changes often).
You are worthy. Period.
